We hope you feel welcome here and settle in quickly. That’s why, on the following pages, we’ll be introducing ourselves and giving you an insight into our church.

Who we are

The Viva Kirche Meilen is a Protestant free church and part of the Viva Kirche Schweiz church federation.

We embody God’s love for the people living on the shores of Lake Zurich. As a multi-generational church, we journey together to get to know God ever better, to deepen our trust in him, and to live out our faith in everyday life.

Where we are

We’re building!
Whilst the building work is underway, we will be holding our services at the Seehof Hall (3rd floor), Seestrasse 1037, Meilen. We look forward to welcoming you there.

Our church is currently going through a special transitional phase. The existing church building at Pfannenstielstrasse 1 in Meilen is being demolished and replaced by a new building. Completion of the new building and our move into it are scheduled for summer 2028.

What we believe

We believe in Jesus Christ and that God’s love is for everyone. Together, we want to get to know God better and better, grow in our faith and experience how he works in our daily lives.

The Bible is the foundation of our faith. Our statement of faith is based on that of the Swiss Evangelical Alliance, which you can view via the link below.

We attach great importance to protecting the physical, emotional and psychological well-being of all people. As part of Viva Church Switzerland, we implement our organisation’s protection policy and guidelines on the prevention of sexual abuse.

Staff team

Our two pastors, Daniel Schenker and Benjamin Ruprecht, are each employed on a 50% contract.

Daniel Schenker is responsible for the overall management and organisation of the congregation’s day-to-day running. Benjamin Ruprecht heads up the children’s and youth ministry and works with the staff to further develop it.
